I use A EYE for my art

For years, the art world has leaned heavily on traditional perspectives. We are taught to look at depth, form, and composition through a standard, two-eyed lens. But my journey as a creator took a definitive turn when a profound medical emergency changed the way I see the world, leaving me with a permanent visual impairment.

I lost partial sight, but I gained an entirely new vocabulary.

Today, my creative engine runs on a singular, focused point of vision. When I stand in front of a canvas in my studio, mapping out the sharp geometry and intense color blocks of my signature Neo-Pop Cubist style, I am not fighting against a deficit. I am leaning into a rare, authentic visual filter. I am projecting my lived experience directly onto the fabric.

The recurring single-eyed figures that define my portfolio are not just an arbitrary design choice. They are the direct manifestation of my resilience. They are a declaration to the world that our perceived limitations can actually become our ultimate creative superpowers.

I don't look at the world the way everyone else does, and my art is stronger because of it. My Pratt foundation gave me the tools, my heritage gives me the fire, but it is my unique point of focus that defines my legacy.

I use A EYE for my art—and my singular vision has never been clearer. #oneeye #vision #insight #cubism
